Gavin felt lucky that he'd survived the holiday so far. He had missed any altercations with little flying men with arrows, had survived the classes and was now waiting for the one person he wanted to see the entire day.

He hadn't done anything extravagant but he did have a few things. The door was closed.

It'd been a long week and Gavin was perfectly happy with staying in tonight, relaxing on his bed. There was a half written letter resting on his lap and a pen behind a ear.

Daydreaming was more fun than an update to Commander Antilles.

It was hard to at Town Hall after everything with Krytos but that hadn't stopped him from being there yesterday. And he'd go back there today. He felt more in the way than anything but, at least, he could make sure his friends that were sick were comfortable and make sure those that weren't sick were taking care of themselves.

Gavin wouldn't call what he's doing brooding but it most definitely might be sulking. Or just deep thinking. Either way, Karal getting called back home triggered thoughts of his own possible recall and, while he'd go without question, he'd begun to wonder just when this place had gotten so under his skin.

Gavin's relaxing on his bed, book open on his lap and window open just a bit. After all the activity of this weekend, he's perfectly happy to just take this day to lay around and look busy.

Not having classes on Friday means Gavin's spent most of the day lounging around his room, sprawled on his bed with a few books in arm's reach, a half written letter home on the nightstand and a bottle of water in his hand.

Right now, he's reading some random book on American warfare. It's actually got his attention.
